GROWTH CASE 12 · THE RISK WAS INSIDE THE SUCCESS STORY

Romain Reported 11 Million Reddit Impressions. Part of the Playbook Risks a Ban

Named interview and public-handle cases · reach, customer, and revenue figures are self-reported. Coordinated voting, multiple accounts, and staged questions appear only as policy counterexamples.

The useful draft is usually hiding underneath six versions that sounded impressive.

In a Starter Story interview, Gojiberry AI cofounder Romain reported 11 million Reddit impressions, more than 40,000 site visitors, roughly the first 100 customers, and about 30K MRR. One post reportedly reached 160,000 views, 543 upvotes, about 2,000 visits, and an estimated 10 to 15 customers.

The same interview describes friends coordinating votes, a 15-person voting group, and separate browser accounts. Reddit explicitly prohibits coordinated voting and multi-account vote manipulation. The useful work sits in subject choice, proof, and comment follow-up. The manipulation does not belong in a Finfold workflow.

01

Keep each metric in its reported unit

Eleven million means impressions, 40,000 means visits, customer count is approximate, and the interview shows both 24K and roughly 30K MRR. No independent attribution report turns them into a verified funnel.

Bright metrics require careful units and attribution.

02

The 160K-view post used a defensible structure

It published the outcome of paying $1,250 to five LinkedIn influencers. Budget, sequence, screenshots, and an unexpected result made the story useful. A founder can reuse that evidence structure with transparent disclosure.

The reusable lesson is an honest ledger.

03

Coordinated voting crosses an explicit line

The interview describes friend-group voting and a 15-person marketer group. Reddit prohibits organized voting targeting a post and using multiple accounts to manipulate vote counts.

Manufactured early momentum can document the manipulation itself.

04

Remove browser rotation and concealed promotion

Separate browser accounts and hidden activity reduce the community's ability to recognize a commercial pattern. A transparent profile, stable identity, and community-approved disclosure are the defensible alternatives.

A profile can explain a business. It should not disguise promotion.

05

Popsy AI supplies a nearby counterexample

The public account thankjupiter says Popsy AI analyzes hundreds of thousands of posts daily and groups effective posts into stories, teaching, and free help. It also suggests having a friend request the link. The analysis can be examined; the staged question should be rejected.

Useful data can arrive with advice that still deserves refusal.

06

Run seven days on content production only

Choose one completed expense, gather the budget and proof, and remove unsupported causality. Read the community rules, publish from one disclosed account, and answer real questions. Use no vote ring, staged question, or account rotation.

Copy the evidence work. Leave the manipulation behind.

07

Judge reach with business evidence

Track impressions, visits, qualified signups, sales conversations, and paid customers separately. Pause after a removal or warning. Change the subject after three high-reach posts produce no qualified visits.

A post earns another iteration only without manipulation.
